Welcome to Drámakommandó Drama Education!
Our association provides mobile, classroom-based drama education programmes for pre-school, primary and secondary school students throughout Hungary. Our mission is to bring our drama education programmes to young people living in regions far from the capital. Our community-building programmes strengthen class cohesion and resolve potential conflicts through play.

4 reasons why you should support
the work of Drámakommandó

WE LEARN BY PLAYING
Learning can be fun. Through playful learning and the interactive tools of drama education, children develop a range of skills, creativity, openness, concentration and self-image.

WE MAKE AN IMPACT
Through our stories, we bring important moral and social issues close to children, while creating a safe environment in which we can all interact.

WE CREATE COMMUNITY
Through community-building activities and children's camps, we encourage cooperation and harmony and develop group dynamics.

WE WORK FOR THE FUTURE
With our drama teachers, we work for the kind of world we want to live in. We believe that we become more by helping others and working for each other.
Drama education programmes
In our drama education programmes we encourage children to become active in shaping a fictional story, always with an important moral or social issue at its heart. The habitus of the community, the personalities of the characters and the relationships between them mean that no two stories are exactly the same, and no two endings or resolutions are the same.
Drama education
for the little ones
Our latest drama education programme, Mesebeszéd (Tale Talk), is specially designed for preschoolers and 1st graders. Our programme is based on a classic Hungarian folk tale: the youngest prince sets out on a journey to win the lady of his heart after three trials. Through an hour-long interactive performance, the children become integral participants in the story as characters from the royal court with different positions.
Building community
We know the daily life of a school. We know that in the hustle and bustle of lessons, papers and administrative tasks, there is not always time to keep track of what is happening in the classroom and only find out afterwards if something is wrong. Our community development sessions can help in these situations.
